So let’s try to only take the good side of them and take a hold of your time.
Here are for you my 5 tips:
✦ Plan your time on social media
As you plan your time for work, you should do it also for your time on Instagram, Facebook etc… Set a timer on your phone and when it’s up… just close it!
✦ Turn off notifications
We are curious by nature so when we hear the “beep” of a notification, we can’t stop ourselves from go and check it out and we know that it’s not going to end like that, we get trapped into a vicious circle and we end up swiping up for 15minutes. So turn those notifications and badges off and you will be more productive.
✦ Schedule your posts
There are many apps for this purpose (like Hootsuite and Buffer), let those social media work for you without even logging in!
✦ Use apps to stop the distraction
Facebook is, in this way, worse than Instagram. You get swallowed one feed at a time and with Kill News Feed what you’re going to see it’s just the “useful” basic stuff of FB.
Another great app is Forest, add the social media websites in the blacklist and as you go on with your work a cute little tree will be growing but, as soon as you visit one of those websites, well… it dies!
✦ Find a prolific alternative
Why don’t you try to read a book instead? I suggest Think and Grow Rich because it’s a game changer !!!
Watch a documentary, meditate.. do something good for yourself! You won’t regret it!
These are my tips, share in the comments your own tips to stay focused and away from social media!
Thanks for reading this post and, have a magical and productive day!
